We kindly ask that you be parked in a safe location and the vehicle is off before starting or attempting to perform troubleshooting of any kind.
Please check the following phone battery is above 50% , Carrier Cellular Data is 3G or better and your vehicle is out in the open clear view of sky (this could affect GPS Signal being inside garage or under a car port).
Step 1 - Launch / Start Toyota App on your smartphone.
Step 2 - Launch / Start Scout GPS Link app on your smartphone.
Step 3 - Start your vehicle and connect your phone to the Toyota Audio Multimedia system via Bluetooth (You may also connect USB cable from phone to USB outlet for the map view)
Step 4 - Start Scout GPS Link app located within Apps on the Toyota Audio Multimedia system. Select Apps, then select Scout Icon.
Here you should see Scout GPS Link main screen on your display or the map view if the USB is properly connected. The phone should also display a Lock Screen.
Note - It is very important that you launch the Toyota App on your phone first before attempting to launch the Scout GPS Link mobile app. The Toyota App controls and facilitates communication of data between your phone and your vehicle's Toyota Audio Multimedia system
Please make sure you are using the newest Android OS or iPhone iOS which may have fixes for our products and older version may no longer be supported.
