Our application is only supported to work with either headsets or vehicle head units which are A2DP compliant. A2DP stands for “Advanced Audio Distribution Profile”, which is a Bluetooth profile that allows for the wireless transmission of stereo audio from an A2DP source (typically a phone or computer) to an A2DP receiver (a set of Bluetooth headphones or stereo system).
AT&T Navigator connecting to a BT Headset or vehicle head unit requires either the device or hardware BT to support A2DP (this means the unit must support this audio profile because it’s how the audio files are transmitted from our AT&T Navigator app). Please review the user manual to the designated device if you’re unsure whether your device is A2DP compliant.
Here is our basic trouble shooting you can try if you are not getting audio navigation from AT&T Navigator to your BT Headset or Vehicle Speakers.
1. Uninstall Application
- Go to or Select Device Settings
- Select Application Manager
- Select AT&T Navigator, Then select Uninstall or Uninstall Updates
2. Un-pair Bluetooth Device
- Go to or Select Device Settings
- Select BT and locate Paired Device Name
- Select Gear icon and Then select Un-pair
3. Reinstall Application
- Go to Pre-Installed Icon or Search AT&T Navigator within Google Play
- Proceed to Install (or Update app)
- If requested login with phone #
- Once you verified you are in app, please exit app
4. Re-pair Bluetooth Device
- Go to or Select Device Settings
- Select BT and select Scan
- Select BT Device Name and Pair with device
Now please try AT&T Navigator app while connected to BT Headset or BT of Vehicle.
If you still have no Audio through BT, please turn off BT and try app.
If AT&T Navigator plays through your phone speakers, we may not support the BT system you are using.
If you continue to have issues please submit a Ticket and a support rep will reach to offer further assistance.
Thank You,
