Blackberry 9800 Troubleshooting

Turn on GPS technology on BB9800

1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Location Settings.
3. Change the Location Services field to Location On.
4. Press the menu key > Save.

Set the GPS receiver that you use to track your movement

1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Location Settings.
3. Change the GPS Source field.
4. Press the menu key > Save.

Refresh

1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Device > Location Settings.
3. Press the menu key > Refresh GPS.

APPLICATION PERMISSIONS                            

On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.

2. Click Device > Application Management.

• To set permissions for a specific third-party application, highlight the application. Press the key > Edit Permissions.

3. Expand Connections, Interactions, or User Data.
4. Change the permission fields.
5. Press the key > Save.

FIREWALL

OPTIONS > SECURITY > FIREWALL

If you cannot disable it – PRESS MENU KEY and select RESET SETTINGS and SAVE.

Wi-Fi

Manage Connections icon – make sure wi-fi is OFF

SIM CARD

Options > device > advance system settings > sim card Edit sim phone # > Press Enter (or a button what looks like a arrow pointing to the left)

Options icon. Device > Advanced System Settings > SIM Card.

Press the MENu key > Edit SIM Phone Number

TO DELETE

1. Select the Options icon from the All apps screen.
2. Select Device.
3. Select Application Management.
4. Choose the application you wish to delete.
5. Tap Delete
